1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using LISTEN, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use LISTEN.
2. Eligibility
LISTEN is not intended for children under 18. By using LISTEN, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into these Terms.
3. LISTEN is not an emergency or therapy service
Listeners and community members may provide conversation, encouragement, and general support, but they are not a substitute for licensed professionals.
4. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- You must provide accurate account information.
- You must not impersonate another person or create accounts to avoid enforcement.
- You should not share passwords, banking details, identification documents, or highly sensitive information in chats.
5. Community rules
You agree not to post, send, encourage, or promote:
- Harassment, bullying, hate, threats, exploitation, or abuse.
- Sexual exploitation, non-consensual content, or content involving minors.
- Scams, spam, fraud, phishing, impersonation, or misleading offers.
- Violence, self-harm encouragement, dangerous instructions, or illegal activities.
- Private information about another person without permission.
- Content that violates another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
6. User-generated content
You are responsible for the content you share on LISTEN. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant LISTEN a limited licence to host, display, transmit, moderate, and process that content as needed to operate the app, enforce safety rules, and provide support.
7. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
LISTEN may provide tools to report content, report users, and block users. We may review reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when we believe these Terms, our community rules, or legal requirements have been violated.
8. Listener conduct
Listeners must be respectful, honest about their role, avoid harmful advice, and avoid presenting themselves as licensed professionals unless LISTEN has separately verified and approved that status. Listeners must not exploit vulnerable users, request money, pressure users, or move conversations to unsafe channels for harmful purposes.
9. Paid features
LISTEN may offer paid features, subscriptions, tips, or listener services in the future. Any payment terms, refunds, and platform billing rules will be shown before purchase and may be handled through Google Play or another approved payment provider.
10. Intellectual property
LISTEN, its logo, design, features, and app content are owned by LISTEN App or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or misuse LISTEN without permission.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create safety risks, misuse the service, or expose LISTEN or users to legal or security risk.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
LISTEN is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every listener, chat, or community interaction will meet your expectations. To the maximum extent allowed by law, LISTEN is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of LISTEN after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
